Things You Shouldn’t Do But You Probably Already Did Today

Some mistakes are wild. Others are silly. But the best ones? They're the kind that happen in plain sight, and your brain just... lets them.
Here’s a not-so-gentle roast of the things you shouldn't do even though you know better.
1. Waking up late, rushing to work... then realizing your keys were in your jacket all along.

This one’s a classic. You sprinted like a man on a mission. You turned the house upside down. You picked the spare key, fought traffic again, only to hear a jingle… right there in your jacket pocket. How do you explain that to HR?
2. Holding your phone while frantically searching for it
You flipped the couch cushions. You accused your siblings. You almost filed a missing device report. The whole time? Your phone was in your hand probably showing you a meme titled “how to find your phone.” Irony is loud.
3. A Thing You Definitely Shouldn't Do: Waving at someone who wasn’t waving at you
You felt so seen. So special. But that wave? It was for the person behind you. Now you’re left smiling like an NPC trying to reboot.
4. Falling asleep “for just 5 minutes” and waking up during the next season of your life
That tiny nap turned full-blown slumber, and you’re waking up confused, disoriented, and… waiting for the morning sun to clarify things. Your neck hurts. The TV’s still on. And you're no longer sure what year it is.
5. Pressing elevator buttons repeatedly like it makes them faster.

You know it doesn’t work. The elevator knows it doesn’t work. Yet your fingers are out here acting like they’re typing code into NASA.
We’ve all been there and we’ll all be there again. Because that’s life. Slightly chaotic. Frequently funny. Wildly human.

Oh, I can relate to this. Just the other day, someone was looking right at me. When I noticed, they raised their arm, and I raised mine to say hi back to them. Funny thing is, they raised their arm to stretch and paid no attention to me raising my arm in response. LOL! That really happened... 😂
